So far the training has went extremely well, I have been hitting some really good #s. When I first got here I was only able to do the powers (power snatch, power clean) as the back of my left knee was giving me issues. I decided to just say “suck it up” and lifted through it finally on friday. I was able to do 150/180 (and multiple singles at a 145 snatch). Those are both the best #s I have hit since Nationals. I had a few things not go my way after Nationals which forced me to miss a week and a half of training, so, it is understandable that it will take a few weeks to get back into shape. I am certainly on my way back to a bigger CJ, with my squats being higher than ever. I was able to FS 230, and BS 260 last week. Both of those were BIG PRs for me. Tomorrow will be my last day here, so, I am looking to get after it and get some big #s in.
We went down to the Norris Hot Springs today and soaked for about 2 hours, it was pretty relaxing. Last night we also went to the Willow Creek Saloon, where we all ate a full rack of ribs (except for Beau Burgener, he was the lightweight🙂 ). Well, I guess Mariah (from Bridger Crossfit) also didn’t quite finish. Anyway, it was some amazing food. Tyson has been cooking for me a lot of meals which is pretty sweet haha. I have been spoiled. I am excited to get after it tomorrow.
I will update after tomorrow with hopefully some good news. It has been nice to get away from work for a week and just train. It will also be nice to get back to Vegas though and get back into the routine of things, sleep in my own bed, and not mooch food off everyone haha!
