Today was 100x better than yesterday. Jon North and I got on the same bar and really moved quick. We got the workout done in under 45 minutes. We were absolutely flying. We felt pretty sore but managed to bring some intensity and keep the duration of the workout down.

PM:

Power Snatch- up to 120kgx3x1, 110kgx5 (awesome set for me, had more in me)

Power Clean (from blocks from below knee): up to 150kgx1, 140kgx4 (again, felt amazing on these)

And that was it. Man, I know people are against a lot of reps, but, for some reason they felt really good today. It really helps me reinforce some positions and whatnot. Again, I think it is mainly because I have NEVER done any volume that I like it. Ya know? Ya do singles all the time and reps seem like they feel great because you get sick of singles. You do reps all the times and you probably want to max out all the time because you’re sick of doing reps. It always seems greener on the other side. Thankfully I feel I have the right perspective on it. Which is you should do singles 75% of the time, and maybe on days like tues/thurs/sat throw a few reps in there. Who knows? I just want to lift weights, I’ll leave the thinking up to the coaches!
